Australia: Four Decades - Full Circle
Ron Manners’ eclectic career is the subject of this book, introducing the reader to his experiences in the gold-mining industry as well as his time as a hotel developer in Bali and his stint as a rock ‘n’ roll cruise organiser, among other unique ventures.
At its core, Heroic Misadventures is about people and the ways they react to change. Ron grew up in Kalgoorlie in the 1960’s with a family of hard workers and entrepreneurs. This early influence allowed him to build an extraordinary career, full of adventures (and misadventures) and tackled with good humour, curiosity and commitment.
It’s a perfect example of how ‘having a go’ and playing by your own rules can lead to a successful and memorable life.
